Obituary

Annelies E. Gray, 97, of Lewisburg entered into rest on Friday, May 13, 2022 at Evangelical Community Hospital.

Born on October 22, 1924 in Dresden, Germany, a daughter of the late Walter H. Kratz and Marianne (Guenther) Kratz. Annelies escaped the firebombing of Dresden Germany during World War II on Feb 13th and 14th of 1945. Following the war she move to United States in 1963.

Annelies worked as a secretary to the Head of the English Department at Bucknell University where she enjoyed working very much.

She was fond of her dogs, observing birds, knitting, being in nature, and hiking. She was a member of the Susquehanna Valley Choral.

Surviving are one son, Steven Gray and Sue Mincemoyer-Gray of Winfield, one sister, Christine Wentzel of Germany, one step sister, Inge Kratz of Germany.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Werner Kratz and Joachim W. Kratz.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
