Betty K. Loudenslager

Betty K. Loudenslager, 91, of Elmcroft of Lewisburg passed away peacefully Monday, December 14, 2020 at her residence.

Born on May 11, 1929 in Mifflinburg, a daughter of the late Paul and Charlotte (Wetzel) Keister, She late married Richard Loudenslager, who preceded
her in death in 2006. Together they celebrated 57 years of marriage.

She graduated from Mifflinburg High School and was a waitress at her Aunt Mary Denius's restaurant until she married Richard when they moved to Lock Haven, PA.
She worked at Sylvania while her husband attended Lock Haven University. After a few years, they returned to Mifflinburg when Richard continued his father-in-law's business, Keister's Upholstery, and where Betty meticulously sewed for the business.
Later in life she very much enjoyed her role as hostess at the Carriage Corner Restaurant in Mifflinburg.

While at Elmcroft, the staff and resident became almost like family. There were many bingo games, hymn songs, puzzle and movie nights, and outings for ice cream! The staff continually would say they loved her, her wit, and especially her spunk!

Betty is survived by her son and his wife, Michael and Lynn loudenslager; her daughter and husband, Carla and Kris Ruhl; three grandchildren and their spouses, Erin and Adam Kanter, Jeff and Jennifer Ruhl, and John Ruhl. She was blessed and overjoyed with the arrival of her great granddaughter, Brynn Ainsley Elizabeth Ruhl. She is also survived by one brother and his spouse, Gary and Pam Keister, along with many nephews and nieces who brought her much laughter. Her family made her proud and was mast important in her life.

A small family celebration of Betty's life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Betty's memory may be sent to Christ United Lutheran Church, 13765 Old Turnpike Road, Lewisburg, PA 17837.
