Helen H. Sampsell, 92, of Mifflinburg entered into rest at 10:45 pm on February 14, 2020 at Evangelical Community Hospital.
Born on July 29, 1927 in Mifflinburg, a daughter of the late Aaron M. and Edna E. (Derr) Herman. On March 23, 1946, she married Paul William Sampsell, who preceded her death.
Helen was a graduate of Mifflinburg High School Class of 1946.
She retired from the Laurelton Center as a beautician following 30 years of service. Earlier in life she owned a hair salon in Mifflinburg.
She was an avid cook and baker, and enjoyed doing ceramics. She also loved to travel to the beach.
Surviving are two daughters and one son-in-law, Judy and Harold Beaver of Watsontown, Donna Prochaska of Montanton, three grandchildren, Cheryl Pawlak, Paul Beaver, Zachery Prochaska, two great grandchildren, Alicia Stidfole, Kaitlyn Beaver, three great great grandchildren, and one sister, Caroline Herman of Mifflinburg.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and four sister, and one great grandson, Justin Clayton.
Relatives and friends and invited to the memorial service at 11am on Friday, Feb. 21, 2020 at Adamo's, 16 Walnut Street, Mifflinburg.
Interment will be private at a later date in the Mifflinburg Cemetery.
