Kenneth H. Wagner, 87, of Mifflinburg entered into rest on Friday, April 16, 2021 at Evangelical Community Hospital. Ken was known as "Red" for his hair color and "Yogi" for his many years as a catcher who's skills were like his idol, Yogi Berra.

He was born December 30th of 1933 in Milton to James R. Wagner and Margaret (Young) Wagner, and on January 13th of 1962, he married Jean F. (Hackenberg) Wagner at St. John's United Church of Christ in Mifflinburg. Jean predeceased Ken by a matter of weeks, passing on March 28th of this year.

Ken graduated from Mifflinburg High School in 1951 lettering in football, basketball, and baseball. He was an exceptional athlete and especially a baseball player - playing 6 games a week in to his early 40s and earning MVP honors in the West Branch league in 1956.

After graduating, he worked odd jobs and delivered milk for Wehr's Dairy. Red enlisted in the Army on February 15, 1954 and served as an explosives ordnance expert until February 14, 1956. He completed basic training and schooling at Fort Hood, TX. He worked his entire professional career as a railroad man for Pennsylvania Railroad, retiring in 1996.

Yogi was well-known and made many life-long friends through umpiring baseball & officiating football at secondary and collegiate levels. He was an active & faithful member of St. John's UCC where he served on committees, as a councilmember and council President, and as a Sunday School teacher. He loved greeting visitors that came to St. John's during Christkindl.

The greatest joys of his life were his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
