Nancy Jane Clouser Smith

Nancy Jane (Clouser) Smith, 83, of Mifflinburg entered into rest at 12:05 pm on Sunday, August 2, 2020 at her residence.

Born on July 31, 1937 in White Deer Twp,Union County, a daughter of the late Henry Osbourne and Miriam Lucille (Hilkert) Clouser. On October 08, 1961, she married C. James Smith, who survives.

She was a graduate of Milton High School class of 1955. She then graduated from Williamsport Hospital School of Nursing in 1958.

Nancy worked as a registered nurse at Evangelical Community Hospital and for several local nursing homes.

She was a member of New Hope Bible Church, Mifflinburg where she was active in mission activities. She was a former member of Lewisburg Christian Missionary Alliance Church. over the years she went on several mission trips to Mexico, Brazil, and Ecuador and assisted with Hurricane Katrina relief efforts

She was a volunteer for the American Red Cross blood services.

Nancy enjoyed sewing, cooking, canning, gardening, walking with her husband, and bird watching on Hawk Mountain.

Surviving in addition to her husband are three daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy Gaye and Daniel Smith of Goshen, Indiana, Karen Sue and Alvie W. Smith of Mifflinburg, Phyllis Joy and Enrique Mendoza of Lexington, KY, 12 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, two brothers and one sister-in-law, H. Wendell Clouser of Middleburg, Maurice E. And Barbara Clouser of Mifflinburg and daughter-in-law, Cindy K. (Heimbach) Smith Of New Columbia.

She was preceded in death by one son, Matthew C. Smith, on May 5, 2018 and one sister-in-law, Jean Lemon Clouser.

Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing from 6-8 pm on Wednesday, August 5, 2020, and on Thursday from 10 to 11 am from the New Hope Bible Church, 310 Raven Lane, Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be held at 11 with Pastor Jason Mitchell, officiating.

It's recommended the attendee's following current regulation concerning wearing a mask and social distancing.

Interment will be in Church Hill Cemetery, Lewisburg.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Nancy's memory may be sent to the American Red Cross, 249 Farley Circle, Lewisburg, PA 17837.
