Sara S. Zimmerman, 81, of Mt. Pleasant Mills entered into rest at 1:00 am on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Jeanne and Kenneth Horst of Port Trevorton.

Born on August 18, 1939 in Ephrata, Lancaster County, a daughter of the late Amon B. and Mary (Shaub) Auker. On October 13, 1963, she married Luke S. Zimmerman, who preceded her in death on March 19, 2010.

Sara was a homemaker.

She was a member of Stauffer Mennonite Church.

Surviving are 6 sons and 4 daughters and spouses, Jeanne and Kenneth Horst of Port Trevorton, Matthew and Bertha Zimmerman of Hillsboro, OH, Michael and Phoebe Zimmerman of Lyndonville, NY, Carolyn and Kenneth Martin of Lyndonville, NY, Joshua and Miriam Zimmerman of Mt Pleasant Mills, Christopher and Sheila Zimmerman of Lyndonville, NY, Deborah and Andrew Martin of Mt. Pleasant Mills, L. Ray and Sharon Zimmerman of Fort Plain, NY, Jesse and Nancy Zimmerman of Fort Plain, NY, Amy and Justin Good of Mt. Pleasant Mills, 72 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 3 brothers, Ivan and Minnie Auker of Ephrata, John and Naomi Auker of Mt. Pleasant Mills, Thomas Auker of Ephrata, 7 sisters and brothers-in-law, Lizzie Mae Weaver of Liverpool, Grace Stauffer of Leonard, MN, Ruth Auker of Port Trevorton, Etta Auker of Port Trevorton, Miriam Auker of Ephrata, Ellen and Alvin Zimmerman of Lyndonville, NY, Nancy and Wayne Stauffer of Port Trevorton, and a sister-in-law, Mary Auker of Ephrata.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Edwin Auker, two brothers-in-law, David Weaver and Daniel Stauffer.

Family and friends are invited to the viewing from 1-3 and 5-7 pm on Sunday, December 20, 2020 at her residence, 356 Zimmerman Lane, Mt. Pleasant Mills, where the funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Monday, December 21,2020. Further services will be held at 12:30 p.m. at Stauffer Mennonite Church, 5024 Produce Road, Port Trevorton, officiating will be the local church ministry.

Interment will be in Stauffer Mennonite Church Cemetery.
